Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Welcome to Haberfield Public School. It is with great pride that I address you as Relieving Principal of this outstanding school. Haberfield Public School has a long‑standing reputation for excellence, creativity and innovation in teaching and learning. Our guiding philosophy, “Building on Success”, reflects our commitment to continuing our strong traditions while also forging a future‑ready culture where every student is known, valued and supported to achieve their full potential.
Our community of students, staff and families works collaboratively in a dynamic and inclusive environment, itself driven by high expectations, rigorous evidence‑based instruction and a focus on wellbeing and belonging.
Aligned with the Department’s Plan for NSW Public Education that “every student learns, grows and belongs in an outstanding and equitable education system”, we are dedicated to providing each child with access to high-quality teaching, rich learning opportunities and pathways to future success. We undertake a sustained focus on enhancing explicit teaching practices, data‑driven feedback, collaborative professional learning and innovative learning environments so that our students not only achieve strong outcomes but are also equipped to thrive in a changing world.
At Haberfield Public School we build respectful, responsible and resilient learners and citizens — students who are not only academically capable but socially and emotionally grounded. We value wellbeing as central to achievement, believing that a safe, connected and supportive learning community enables curiosity, creativity and growth. Our programs are designed to ensure that diversity is celebrated, opportunity is equitable, and learning is relevant and purposeful. In doing so we continue to fulfil our mission of “Building on Success” by enhancing the opportunities for all our students to connect, succeed, thrive and learn.
I invite you to explore our website to discover what makes our school special. We look forward to welcoming you into our community.
