Sport
Our sports programs provide students with opportunities to develop their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. It also builds confidence, resilience and pride in representing their school community.
Creative and performing arts

Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Excursions
Excursions provide students with exciting opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. These experiences allow students to explore new environments, connect with their peers, and engage with real-world learning in a fun and meaningful way. From cultural visits to hands-on science and outdoor adventures, excursions enrich the curriculum and inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Chess
Our chess programs help students develop critical thinking, concentration and problem-solving skills. The program is fun and engaging, teaching patience, strategic planning, and the value of learning from mistakes.
Tournament of the Minds
Garden Club
The School Gardening Club gives students the chance to get their hands dirty and learn about nature during school hours. Students work together to plant, grow, and care for our school gardens, developing responsibility, teamwork, and environmental awareness. It’s a wonderful way for students to connect with nature and take pride in helping our school grounds thrive.
Maths Olympiad and Maths Explorer
Running Club
The Running Club offers students a fun and energetic way to start the day. Meeting before school, students have the chance to stay active, build fitness, and develop healthy habits. It’s a great way to boost wellbeing, connect with others, and enjoy the benefits of movement.
Green Team
The Green Team Initiatives empower students to take action in caring for the environment and promoting sustainable practices at school. It encourages teamwork, responsibility and pride in making a positive difference to our planet.
Library Monitors
Library Monitors at Haberfield Public School help keep the school library organised and welcoming for all students. Their responsibilities include shelving books, tidying reading areas, assisting fellow students with finding resources, and supporting library activities. Being a library monitor helps students develop responsibility, teamwork, and a love of reading while contributing to a positive library environment.
