Uniform Information

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

 Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

• meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

• includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

• is appropriate for the full range of school activities
• is suitable for all body shapes.

• The volunteers of the P&C Uniform shop are learning how to administer the NSW Government Back to school vouchers as this is a new system. We are appreciate your patience.

It is mandatory for all children to wear the school uniform every day.

The school uniform shop is managed by the school P&C association and is staffed by volunteer parents.  All profits are donated to the school, which are spent on school resources which benefit all children.

All items including school bags printed with school crest, the mandatory library bag and specialist bags such as swimming, excursion and music are available from our Uniform shop.

School crest – short and long sleeve polos, jumpers, hats and bags are printed with the school crest.

Hats

Haberfield Public School has a strict ‘no hat, no play’ policy. Children cannot go outside to play unless they’ve slapped on a hat.

We have a wide selection of navy blue hats; cotton wide brimmed surf hat, microfibre wide brimmed surf hat, legionnaires cap, baseball cap. All hats display the school crest.

Shoes & socks

• black leather shoes with navy blue or white socks
• sport shoes with navy blue or white socks. To be worn on sports day only.

Sports uniform (boys/girls)

• summer – gold short sleeve polo shirt (school crest) with navy blue shorts
• winter – gold long sleeve polo shirt (school crest) with navy blue tracksuit pants
• sport shoes with navy blue or white socks

Boys uniform 

• summer uniform - gold short sleeve polo shirt (school crest) with navy blue shorts
• winter uniform - zip front jacket with school crest – fleecy or polar fleece available. Gold long sleeve polo shirt (school crest) with navy blue tracksuit pants.

Girls uniform 

• summer uniform - gold short sleeve polo shirt (school crest) with navy blue shorts or skorts or blue/white check tunic dress with blue Peter Pan collar.
• Winter uniform - zip front jacket with school crest – fleecy or polar fleece available.
• gold long sleeve polo shirt (school crest) with navy blue bootleg or tracksuit pants or blue/black check tunic and navy blue stockings, with gold skivvy or gold long sleeve polo shirt (school crest) underneath.

Uniform guidelines 

School uniform is expected to be worn every day of the school year unless otherwise indicated. Sometimes ‘mufti’ clothes are allowed for special circumstances or fundraising events as directed by the school.
Correct school uniform does not include:

• caps that are not school uniform issued
• excessive jewellery
• make-up
• earrings (normal sleeper earrings are allowed)
• untidy or unkept appearance.
